Moors and Christians Festival Museum

Between 16Th and 17Th centuries, this building was a part of another larger construction with two different façades. One of them overlooked ‘El Pla’ square, and the other one  ‘Sants de la Pedra street’.

At the beginning of the 19Th century, the plot was separated in two parts because of an inheritage. Inside, both parts conserve architectural elements of the original building.

The façade of the Fiesta Museum has three different main parts. The ground floor with the main door in the central part, and big windows at the sides. The first floor with the characteristic balconies, and at the top, the room called ‘cambra’ with a row of small round arch windows. Inside, a staircase in the central part stands out lit by a skylight.

Nowadays the building keeps Moors and Christians Festival Federation Headquarters, the Fiesta Public Archives and Museum, an exhibition of Fiesta Costumes, another exhibition about the musician Gustavo Pascual, author of the piece ‘Paquito el Chocolatero’, and another one about blades from different ages and places of the world.
