In the official distribution of land of the new christian town in the second half of the 13Th century, this point was assigned for the local administration as meeting rooms: ‘El Consell de Prohoms’ and ‘La Cort de Justicia’.

Of the original construction only some archaeological remains of the time between the 13Th and 15Th centuries have survived. The present building came about as a result of the reforms carried out in the 17Th century, which have been partially remodelled by subsequent works

During the last works in 1997 certain architectural elements from the reforms of the 17Th and 18Th centuries came  to light; such as the distribution of windows and doors and the materials of the main façade, part of the ground floor, the arch corresponding to the first stairwell and the entrance to the registry among others.

Today the building continues serving as a shelter for municipal dependency.
